First Point Access and Assessment Worker (17.5 hours)Salary: SO1, Scale Points 29-31, £26,533 - £28,171 pro-rata

Deadline: 18 November 2011, interviews W/C 21 November 2011.

Duration: until 31 March 2011 (strong possibility for extension of the contract after this date).

The Metro Centre provides First Point, the registration, assessment and referral arm of the South London HIV Partnership, whose client services include Health Support, Counselling, Advice and Advocacy, and Emotional and Peer Support.

We are looking for a part-time Access and Assessment Worker to join the First Point team. It will be a contract position lasting until 31 March 2012, SO1, Scale Points 29-31, £26,533 - £28,171 pro-rata, with 3% contribution to personal pension scheme.

Post holders will use The Metro Centre’s Vauxhall office as a base from which to liaise with London HIV clinics, South London HIV Partnership service providers and external services in order to register, assess and refer people living with HIV to relevant partnership or external services.

Successful applicants will possess strong inter-personal skills and a sympathetic understanding of the difficulties faced by some people living with HIV, as well as motivation, organization and confidence using IT systems.
